Five tools to make your Instagram posts shine

Are you using Instagram to promote your small business or not-for-profit? There are now more than one billion monthly active users across the globe using Instagram. Eight out of 10 users follow a small business on the platform, so it’s a great opportunity to build brand awareness and grow sales.

64 per cent of users are aged between 18 and 29, with 52 per cent of users being female – if this is who you need to be speaking to then why not get started?

You’re going to want your posts and adverts to shine brighter than your competitors. There are some amazing tools out there, many of them free, that will help you create great content. I’ve provided some details about the tools I’m using to create awesome Instagram content that shines like a diamond!

Clipomatic – iOS only – one-off fee of $7.99

Clipomatic turns all you have to say into live captions. All you have to do is hit the magical record button, speak clearly and your words will appear in a form of a stylish caption right on your recording. Love it.

Over – one-off fee of $8.99 – free trial

Over app

The Over app is great to simply add beautiful text to your photos, it also comes with built-in Instagram and Facebook templates.

Instaspacer – free

One of the most frustrating things with Instagram is that you can’t use line-breaks to create white spaces. Instaspacer changes all of this. You can now simply add a caption and add new lines without having to use dots and dashes. Love this app.

Word Swag – one-off fee of $4.99

Like the Over app, you can use Word Swag to easily add beautiful text to your photos in seconds. The difference with Word Swag is that it provides hundreds of quotes, thoughts and jokes so you are never at a loss for words when posting your images.

Snapseed – free

Snapseed has a lot more features to edit your photos than your phone does. There are brush, vignette and glamour-glow filters. There are also creative photo frames, textures and grunge lighting effects. Within seconds you can create a photo that looks like a professional photographer created it. It’s also really easy to use.

Don’t forget to post video posts too, they receive 30 per cent more engagement over static images. Have fun using these tools and creating memorable content that will make sure you get noticed.
